The principal of the firm, Annette Kenner, is a long time member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and leads a support team of five talented associate designers. Donna retired in 2012 and now holds an emeritus position with the studio.
With a combined 60+ years of experience, Donna Decker and her daughter Annette founded Donna Decker Design, Inc. in 1984. Having outgrown their original studio, DDD now occupies a 6,000 square foot design studio and showroom in north Scottsdale, where they also offer a unique selection of accessories, fine art, and occasional furniture.
Operating primarily on referrals from customers and builders alike, the studio prides itself on being extremely versatile at working with any decor, including Southwestern, Traditional, Country, European, Contemporary, Olde World, as well as uniquely eclectic interiors. A unique feature of their design process is that the entire staff works as a team, from initial brainstorming over blueprints with the homeowner, architect, and builder, to the final installation of the furnishings and accessories. Much of the furniture that is placed by the studio is custom made locally, making the pieces uniquely one-of-a-kind.
One of the most important responsibilities of an interior designer is the specification of the materials (paint, flooring, countertops, etc.) and fixtures that will go into a new home. The Donna Decker staff is ever-mindful throughout the project that the finished home will reflect the desires and personality of the homeowner while staying within budget.
